ABOUT KLIPSPRUIT ACCOMMODATION
Klipspruit Accommodation derives its name from the original farm on which Parys was built.
The farm Klipspruit (stone creek) was owned by the Van Coller family and the farmhouse was built in 1853.

The closest church then was in Kroonstad 92 km away, which was obviously too far to travel for weekly church services. The farmers in the area decided to establish a small town with their own church. The farm Klipspruit was chosen as the site for the town because of its lovely river views.
What remains of the farm is the original residence which has been perfectly and modernly restored and is today the popular guest house, Klipspruit Accommodation.
The guest house is now owned by Elmarie van der Westhuizen who wants to keep the history alive and preserve the atmosphere of a stylish piece of local history.
